Make A Post – Help
News Source
This is where you found the news. Unless you are psychic, the news came from somewhere. That is the source and we want to give them credit. Just copy the web page URL of the source article and paste it into the text box. The URL must begin with http://. If the post is a review, use http://omgstars.com/ as the source.
News Summary
This is where you write about the news. It should be a short detailed summary of the news or gossip. A few sentences covering the important points is fine, but you are welcome to write as much as you want.
- No profanity. If you wouldn’t say it to your mom, don’t use it. Even if you would, don’t use it.
- Do not copy whole articles from the source site. Quoting small sections is fine, but most of the post must be in your own words.
- DO NOT USE ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.
- Use capital letters at the beginning of sentences, use paragraphs and punctuation.
- Check your spelling! A mistake here or there is fine, but no one liks to reed a post full of misspelled werds.
- Proofread your post. Make sure everyone else can understand what you are saying.
Your Thoughts
Opinions are like…noses. Everyone has one so make sure your opinion is heard. Why does the news interest you? Your thought and opinions on the topic. Agree, disagree, love it, hate it. This is where you can state your opinion regardless of what anyone else thinks.
- Same rules as the News Summary.
Post Title
Your post needs a title. Make it short and descriptive. Witty and funny titles are fine. Do not use the title from the News Source.
- Good: Britney Spears is back for Crossroads 2!
- Bad: Britney Spears
