Just Jared has promo pictures of the Judges for the ninth season of American Idol.
The new season will have a two-night season premiere that will air Tuesday and Wednesday (January 12-13) at 8/7c on FOX. Ellen DeGeneres will be a judge this season.
I only watch American Idol when they do the auditions around the country and you get to see all the bad singers perform too. Now that is must see TV!!!
“American Idol” runner up Adam Lambert says he’s no puppet!
Adam Lambert, the runner up last season on the hit show “American Idol” says he’s not a puppet. He says that with his debut album, he had complete creative control on it. He says that it’s a misconception regarding how the public views the “American Idol” contestants. They seem to think that “American Idol” treats them like “puppets”. Adam Lambert’s debut album will be out Nov. 24th.
He may say he has creative “freedom” but I still believe they have some sort of influence over the music. Whatever happened to the winner?
Is Ellen replacing Paula?
Yep, Ellen DeGeneres will be Paula Abdul’s replacement on “American Idol”. Paula released the following statement…
“AMERICAN IDOL is a fantastic show that offers an invaluable platform to young talent. Ellen DeGeneres is wildly funny and talented in her own right. I wish her and the show only the best of luck.”
In an interview earlier today with Ryan Seacrest, Ellen stated “she hoped Paula is ok with the idea”.
I have to say, I think I like the choice of replacement for Paula. Now, if only they could find a replacement for Kara.
Don’t count Paula out yet for “American Idol”
Paula Abdul’s manager says they are “never counting anything out” as far as “American Idol”. Right now she is busy going through many offers to do other projects.
I wish Paula would come back.
Joe Jonas will be a guest judge on “American Idol”!
US Magazine reports that Joe Jonas will be joining the “American Idol” family during the Dallas auditions. Joe Jonas has appeared with his brothers performing live on the season 7 finale in 2008.
Gee, that won’t make the teeny-boppers auditioning any more nervous….yeah right!
Victoria Beckham will be a guest judge on “American Idol”.
U.K.’s Daily News is reporting that “Spice Girl” Victoria Beckham will be a guest judge on “American Idol”. Just days after Paula said that she would not be returning to the show, Simon Cowell called on Victoria to be a guest judge. She will not be a permanent fixture though. She doesn’t want to take a lot of time away from her fashion line. Victoria is reported to be making about $220,000 for her appearance on the show.
This should be interesting.
“American Idol” will go on without Paula!
Paula Abdul decided on Tuesday that she will not be returning to “American Idol”. She says that “with sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return”. Fox’s show producers say that they are saddened that she will not be returning.
In July, Paula had told the Associated Press that she had been invited to stay for as long as the show will last. Paula was very hopeful during her contract negotiations.
Apparently, those losers down at Fox didn’t do the right thing and give her a little bit more money for her to stay.If they thing Kara DioGuardi can replace Paula, they are sorely mistaken.
Seacrest promises to buy Paula lunch everyday if she comes back!
Ryan Seacrest’s contract negotiations are over and he is getting $15 a year to host American Idol. Paula Abdul on the other hand is still in contract negotiations. Sources say she is trying to get $4.5 million a year. Ryan Seacrest truly wants her back and has stated that he would buy Paula lunch every day if she comes back.
American Idol wouldn’t be the same without Paula. They should give her what she wants. I mean shoot, they’re paying Ryan Seacrest triple that and he’s only the host!
“Simon Says” Paula Abdul will be on AI next season
Many were saying that Paula Abdul will not be returning as a judge on American Idol. Not according to Simon Cowell though. He says that he doesn’t get a lot of say but he made it clear he wanted Paula on the show. Even Ryan Seacrest has stated that everyone will be back on in the new season.
Paula’s agent David Sonenberg has concern over the weekend saying that they still haven’t received her new contract yet.
I hope she is truly back. Though, I can do away with Kara.
Allison Iraheta gets her record deal
American idol contestant Allison Iraheta has gotten a deal with 19 recordings and her debut album is expecting a fall release. As many of you already know, she took fourth place in American Idol and was the last women on the show.
