Derek Hough and actress Shannon Elizabeth have called it quits after a year long romance.

The two met on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. They sent out messages on their tweets about their relationship ending. Here is what they had to say:

Hough’s first Twitter message read, “Hi everyone, we wanted you all to know directly from us, that Shannon & I have decided to end our relationship as boyfriend & girlfriend…” and Elizabeth’s second message, which concluded the chain, said, “however, we love & care about each other very much & will remain friends & in each other’s lives.”

Another celebrity couple bites the dust. And is it just me are is this what almost every celebrity couple says when they call it quits. You know, “We still care about each other, we will still be friends..Yada, Yada, Yada.” At this rate Hollywood is the friendliest place in the world, seriously!
